The Zambia International Trade fair is offering employment
opportunity for the service of a qualified, experienced/ motivated, self-starting
and enthusiastic person with proven competences to fill the position of
Accountant.
Purpose of the job:
Reporting to the finance Manager, the Accountant will manage
and carryout finance and accounts duties within the prescribed policies and
procedures in order to facilitate effective operations of ZITF and timey production
of statement. Of Accounts.
QUALIFICATON AND
EXPERIENCE
. Grade 12 five credits or better
. A minimum of Bachelor of Accountancy Degree
. Full CIMA or ACCA will be added advantage
. Knowledge of accounting package especially pastel will be
an added advantage
. Knowledge of International financial Reporting standards (IFRS),
generally accepted accounting principle (GAAP) as well as any changes in the
tax laws is a must.
. Strong sense of integrity, trustworthy and professional in
safeguarding classified information
. Experience of not less than 5 years in a reputable organization
preferably public sector
KEY ROLES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts
for senior management, internal corporate governance structure and Head office
reporting
2. Liaison with Internal audit department for all audit
procedures and ensuring timely responses to all audit queries
3. Preparation of annual statutory accounts and will be
focal person during audit by external auditors
4. Monitoring ZITF cash/ bank transaction ensuring that bank
reconciliations are done timeously for approval
5. Monitoring capital expenditure ensuring that same
conforms to budget allocations financial policies and procedure thereby
coordinating with top management
6. Ensuring that procurement and disposal of assert and other
goods and services conforms to ZITF requirements and Board resolutions
7. Preparing weekly cash flow forecast to optimize the use
of the financial resources
8. Consolidating department budgets in order to facilitate
the preparation of ZITF budget and ensuring timely economic availability of
management information.
