(1). General Job
Purpose
Reporting to the principle of Engineering survey/ Geomatic,
the Engineering survey/ Geomatic will be responsible for carrying out
measurements and topographic surveys and interpret data for road design
construction including information about boundaries, buildings and both natural
and man- made features.
(2). Key
Responsibilities result areas
. Undertake land topographic survey using a variety of
specialist technical equipment
. Analyze data for the geometric design of roads using appropriate
computer software such as AUTOCAD and 3D
. Develop and document automated, semi-automated, and manual
editing tools and associated processes.
. Gain and maintain modern best practice coding skills for
road design and construction
. Proactively adhere to the quality policies set forth by
the Agency
. Participate as needed in development meetings with stakeholders
and customers;
(3). Academic, professional
requirements and Experience
. A Bachelor’s degree in civil Engineering/ land survey/ Geomatic
Engineering
. Registered member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia
. Not less than three years’ experience
. Must have a dynamic, pro-active approach with excellent
communication Skills;
. Must be computer Literate
