1. General Job
purpose:
Reporting to the principal Engineer-, construction and Rehabilitation,
the Engineer construction and Rehabilitation is responsible for coordination and
supervision of contractors and consultants activates on all running contracts
2. Key
Responsibilities and result area
. Supervise consultants and construction and review of
progress ion running contracts and progress reports
. Process payments for Contractors and Consultant
. Coordinate the actual road construction the ground and
work in conjunction with consulting engineers
. Certify invoices and interim payment certificates (IPCs)
. Liaise and work jointly with the design team (Design Engineering)
to implement refinements
. Deal skillfully with a diverse range of people including clients,
architects, other engineering professions, sub-contractors and members of the
public
. Liaise with and direct the work of sub-contractors
employed the project
3. Academic and
Professional Requirements
. A Bachelor Degree in civil Engineering;
. Registered member of the Engineering institution of Zambia
. Ability to
multitask
. Must have a
dynamic, pro- active approach with excellent communication skills
. Must be computer Literate
