Reporting to the chief Financial Officer, the tax manager
will oversee all tax affairs of lubemba copper mine limited.
Key responsibilities
. Preparation of income and deferred tax computation as and
required when required and speedy resolution any review comments from the
consultant. The tax computation will be for
. Accurate computation of all tax types preparation review
of monthly VAT, WVAT, PAYE, WHT( for both local and imported services) and
mineral Royalty returns and schedules, and eventual submission to the ZRA
within statutory submission deadlines;
. Correctly accounting for reverse VAT and ensuring that all
foreign supplies of services are appoint the local tax agent
. Ensure full and timely reconciliation of ZRA tax account
statements for corporate income tax, VAT, WVAT< PAYE< WHT, Excise duty and
any other taxes
. Carrying out WVAT reconciliation with s supplier
. Ensuring VAT Rule 18 export documentation is obtained in
full and filed according for availing to ZRA in case of an audit;
. Preparation of tax projections for internal use;
. Assisting in preparations and provision of tax input into management
and financial accounting reporting and
. Provision of tax advice on various transactions at company
and group level
Experience and Qualifications
. Bachelor of Accountancy Degree or fully qualified ACCA
. At Least five years tax compliance and advisory experience
in one of the big four accounting firms and the Zambia Revenue Authority, or in
the private sector working in a similar position
. Zambian working experience and knowledge of all tax,
Mineral Royalty tax, property Transfer Tax and Customs and Excise duties in Zambia
and their applicability to the mining industry
