Key Responsibilities:
There are various duties and
responsibilities required to be carried out by an individual working in the
position of a H.E.R Fitter. They are as follows:
- Play an integral role in
attaining production and cost targets by conducting efficient mechanical
repair and preventative maintenance of the entire drilling fleet.
- Ensure optimal availability of
the drills at all times.
- Provide feedback to supervisors
on the functionality of the equipment and factors effecting it.
- Troubleshoot breakdowns
effectively and efficiently.
- Perform diligent record keeping
- Actively participate in training
sessions to develop skills.
- Participate in regular safety
meetings and keep the workplace in safe working condition.
Technician Skills &
Specifications:
In order to work in the position
of a H.E.R Fitter there are various skills and abilities that an individual has
to maintain. They are as follows:
- Needs to possess excellent
coordination skills
- Must have good technical ability
- Must have sharp eyes for
detailing
- Sometimes it may be necessary to
have the ability to work with computers
- Need to have good writing skills
as they have to draft technical memos
- Should have the ability to
identify problems and solve them
Qualification:
The education qualifications
required in order to pursue a career as a H.E.R Fitter are as follows:
- Craft Certificate in H.E.R
- Valid Driving license
- 3 years working experience on the
shovel & Drills
