Investrust Bank Plc, a growing indigenous commercial bank
listed on the Lusaka on the Lusaka Stock Exchange, is looking for qualified,
self-motivated, hardworking and enthusiastic individuals to fill the following
positions that have fallen vacant.
I. Job Title: Manager-Market Risk
Reporting to: Head Risk
Job Purpose
Reporting to Head Risk Management, the purpose of the role
is to assist in the Implementation of the Enterprise Risk Management framework
and ensure the market risks are consistently and effectively managed in the
business in accordance to Bank of Zambia’s expectations and Basel II standards.
Duties and
Responsibilities
1. Identifying, evaluating and management of market Risk
among other key risks in the business.
2. Establishment of market Risk Key Indicators (KRIs) and
monitor trends to ensure early warning signs are reported for correction or
prevention.
3. Preparing of the Management reports for ALCO meetings
4. Supporting the rolling out of Basel II as regards Market
Risk such as actively participation in Market risk measurement and reporting to
minimize the amount of economic capital allocation.
Knowledge, Skills and
Abilities
1. Daily performance
monitoring of money Markets, Securities and Valuations.
2. Monitoring the reconcilable daily reports (such as the
Bank of Zambia Currency Reconciliation report, foreign Currency Reconciliation
report, Interbank and set limits, both internal and regulatory limits and any
variation in balances is reported.
3. Utilization of product Knowledge and risk concepts e.g.
Value-at-Risk and Stress- Tests, to analyze the exposure of portfolios,
individual trades etc.
Qualifications and
Experience
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Mathematics, Finance,
Economics or a related field
2. Certification in AcI
3. Certification in GARP, Risk Management or any related risk
field will be an added advantage
4. At least 5 years banking experience
