In its quest to improve service delivery, Southern Water and
Sewerage Company Limited (SWSC), provider of portable water and sanitation
services in the Southern province of Zambia, seeks to fill the following vacant
positions. The Suitable candidates should be good team players, dynamic,
innovative, self-motivated, effective Communicator, Sound Knowledge of the
industry, good business and management principles and suitably qualified and
experienced Zambians.
Director Finance and
Administration (1) Head Office
To formulate, develop, direct and implement appropriate
financial management information, human resource and Administration procedures
that will enable the company to effectively manage its financial resources, Operational
and developmental plans as well as evaluate its financial and performance
management systems performance.
Responsibilities:

Formulate and develop sound financial/ Human
Resource policies, systems and procedures for effective utilization of the
Company funds.

Ensure preparations of budget and presents to
the Board for approval before the beginning of the following financial year
·
Establish and maintain industrial relations
polices and tools, which will ensure a harmonious working environment
·
Ensure administration of the performance
management systems for efficient management and development of human resources
in the department
·
Implement sound manpower training and
development and planning systems
·
Ensures preparation of financial statements
including board papers, highlighting financial performance of the Company,
advising the managing Director and the Board on all financial matters and
attend Board meetings etc.
·
Maintains a positive financial status of the
company at all times. To sustain the operational plans of the company to enable
the company meet its business objectives
Minimum Education,
Qualification and Experience
·
Full Grade 12 Certificate suitable for
University entrance
·
Degree in Accounting or ACCA or CIMA or CA
·
Master degree in Finance with HR or PA
qualifications
·
Fellow of ZICA
·
MBA as an added advantage
·
Minimum of 10 years industrial experience of
which 3 years should be at Senior Management level
·
Depth of Knowledge to manage and direct the
following areas: Finance, Taxation, Audit, Risk Management and local business
regulations
·
Should have a Valid driver’s license
