The Development Bank of Zambia is a development finance
intuition that influences the environment for access to finance for development
by offering innovative tailor made financing solutions, advisory services and
technical support to viable local enterprises.
The Bank is looking for suitably qualified person to apply
for the following position:
Internal Auditor
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for carrying out internal audit tasks that
involve evaluation Bank systems, processes and management controls in place and
report on their adequacy and effectiveness in the most cost effective and
professional manner.
To help improve the effectiveness of risk management control
and governance processes.
Main Duties and
Responsibilities
To undertake a combination of operational activities and
office administration activities as follows:
. Assisting and advising audit management on the formulation
and review of audit plans; developing audit policy, practices, risk management
process control and governance processes and general development of the audit
function.
. Assisting and advising line management on specialist areas
of responsibility
. Management and controlling audit assignments embracing
planning, programming conduct and control of audit work and reporting findings.
. Undertaking audits, Investigations and consultancy and
other value adding activities
. Carry out other duties as directed by the Manager Internal
Audit

Specification
. Must be honest and must possess a high level of integrity
. Analytical and attentive to detail
. Communication skills
. Interpersonal skills
Education, Experience
and Qualification
. A University Degree with a bias in Auditing, Accountancy,
Commerce, Finance, Business Administration
. Relevant professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or
certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
. At Least 5 years accounting or auditing experience at
senior management level, in a financial or commercial institution
. An understanding of risk management in a development
financial institution is desirable
