The Company seeks the services of a Senior Planning Engineer
Reporting to the Senior Planning Engineer, the successful
candidate will be responsible for coordinating and super Mine Planning
functions at Mufulira Mine site
Duties will among a
others, include
1) Prepare short and long term production plans in order to
maintain economical and efficient underground operation
2) Coordinate all short long term mine planning actives in
compliance with mining standards
3) Generate Mine plans using Surpac – Mine Scheduler
4) Control of costs
5) Ensure all designs generated in the responsibility
conform to the safety, health and environmental requirements obtaining in
mining.
6) Enforce statutory Mining Regulations and domestic rules
in order to provide a safe working environment
To be considered for
this position, one should meet the following minimum requirements
1. Grade 12 Certificate
2. Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering
3. Minimum 2 years’ underground work experience
4. Minimum 3 years’ experience in mine planning as Senior
Assistant Planning Engineer
5. Should be a registered member of the engineering
Institute of Zambia (EIZ)
6. Knowledge of Surpac 3D mining software and also Surpac
MineScheduler
7. Knowledge in AutoCAD will just be an added advantage
The successful candidate must be oriented and have the ability
to work with own initiative, paying particular attention to Company polices and
Corporate objectives
