Kwacha Pension trust fund is a single employer occupational
pension scheme. The fund seeks a highly skilled and motivated individual to be
part of a dynamic team to fill the position of Director-KPTF on a three year contractual job renewable subject to
satisfactory performance
Job Purpose
To Plan, coordinate and implement activities, including the
management, operation and development of Kwacha Pension Trust Fund (KPTF) to
support the strategic objectives with respect to assets under management.
Major
Responsibilities
As the overall head of the organization, the appropriate candidate
will be required to
. Provide strategic leadership to the fund in order to
ensure that its vision and mission are realized
. Develop and execute the Strategic Plan for the fund
. Develop policy proposals for discussion and decision
making by Trustees and ensuring that the
Trustees receive appropriate advice and information in a timely manner in order
to fulfill their duties and responsibilities;
. provide strategic advice to the Board on matters
concerning pension, investment and risk management including changes in
investment strategy, asset classes, asset allocation, Investment risk,
investment limits, pension management and other operating parameters for the
fund portfolio under management; and
. Provide effective external communication of the fund’s
investment management activities in order to meet the requirements of the
members and the Board of Trustees
Attributes of the
candidate
. At least 10 years’ experience of which 5 years is at
senior management position in a pension fund or in a related financial sector
industry;
. Must have strong interpersonal and leadership qualities
. Over all impeccable administration qualities
. Proven ability to execute Board objectives
. Excellent communication skills
. Able to galvanize the entire organization into achieving
results
Qualification Skill
and Experience
. Full Grade 12 School Certificate with merits or better in
mathematics and English (or Equivalent)
. Degree in a business related course such as economics,
business administration, accounting or professional qualification such as a Master’s
degree would be an advantage
