Responsibilities and Requirements:
Requires
a minimum of 2 years professional experience, ideally in a residential (housing
developments) or grid distribution setting. Minimum craft certificate relevant
to the position. Read and interpret basic electrical specifications and
drawings to determine wiring layout. Cut, strip, bend, assemble and install
electrical conductor enclosures and fittings. Test circuits to ensure integrity
and safety. Good communication skills. Friendly, tolerant and able to deal with
Standard Micro grid customers professionally in a rural setting. Should be
sober minded.
Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage deliverable dates.
Duties:
§ Install, alter, repair and
maintain electrical systems designed to light and power low load electrical
appliances for rural community homes.
§ Read and interpret
electrical, specifications and applicable codes to determine wiring layout.
§ Cut, thread, bend, assemble
and install conduits and other types of electrical conductor enclosures and
fittings.
§ Splice, join and connect
wire to form circuits
§ Test circuits to ensure
integrity and safety
§ Preferred candidate should
have experience in residential installations.
Employment

§ They must be willing to go
where the work exists. Also have a membership in an Engineering Union is mandatory.
