Lubambe
Copper Mine is located within the Greater Konkola Area of the Zambian
Copperbelt and consists of a large — scale mining license covering an area of
approximately 240 square kilometers. The mine is a modern, world class facility
with fully mechanized underground operations.
Lubambe
Copper Mines is owned by EMR Capital of Australia (80%) and ZCCM — Investments
Holdings (20%). The Mine is currently in a ramp up stage and will
ultimately produce 45, 000 tonnes of contained copper and will employ approximately
1,500 people. The Plant infrastructure consists of a Concentrator plant, a
laboratory and underground infrastructure. The Concentrator incorporates
crushing, milling, flotation and filtration. The design capacity is 2.5 MTPA of
ore at an average mill grade of 2.3% copper, yielding 45,000 tonnes of
contained copper in concentrate to be sold to smelter in Zambia.
To
support this vision, Lubambe Copper Mine seeks to employ experienced and
qualified individuals in the following position:
DRIVER
FRONT END LOADER-2 POSITIONS
This
position reports to the Section Leader.
Purpose
of the Position:
Feeding
of ore by the SAG Mill stock pile and loading of waste rock by CV 15, CV 185
and waste dump. Clearing of drains at the tailings dam.
Key
Performance Areas I Indicators (KPA/ls):
§
Ensure
that feeding of SAG Mill feeders is done constantly and safely.
§
Communicate
with CCR operator regularly on blending of ore by the stock pile.
§
Inspection
of cv 1 5 and cv 185 waste rock dumpsite
§
Loading
waste rock from cv15 and cv185 Cleaning of dams filter discharge points.
§
Ensure
drains are cleaned all the time both solution and storm drains.
§
Check
list must be filled every day.
§
Ensure
defects are reported to the section leader and
§
Maintenance
works order is raised for action plan by engineering crew.
§
Removal
of slurry spills on the dam
§
To
do any other jobs assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
and Experience
§
Minimum
qualification Grade 12/ Form five certificate
§
Valid
First Aid Certificate
§
Operating
Drivers permit licence
§
Minimum
Three (3) years relevant practical experience in a Metallurgical Plant
