one of the world’s leading copper producers with a geographically diversified
portfolio of high-quality operations and development projects in eight

and one of the top five copper producers in the world.
Key Responsibilities
§
Daily operations of
the Road Construction, Dust Suppression and Small Crusher sections in the
Production Department of FQM Mining;
§
The incumbent will be
required to adhere to all relevant requirements, policies, procedures and legal
regulations pertaining to health, safety, environment and quality, as well as
finance, human resources, and any other regulations as required by the company
and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function;
§
Plan, schedule and
execute the road construction and maintenance project and activities;
§
Ensure projects are
executing as per schedule and provides guidance and direction on work
procedures;
§
Complete daily, weekly
and monthly reports, providing information on project progress and operational
performance;
§
Ad hoc duties and
projects as per management instructions;
Required Technical Skills,
Training & Experience
§
Degree / Diploma in
Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering or equivalent from a recognized
tertiary institution;
§
At least 15 years’
relevant experience in civil / mining industry is required, with at least 5
years’ on manager / superintendent level;
§
Exposure to various
road construction activities and solid knowledge safety requirement and how to
apply them;
§
Exposure in fixed and
mobile aggregate crushers;
§
Understanding of cost
management processes, planning and scheduling of projects;
§
Working knowledge of
computers and experience using Microsoft Office Suite;
§
Effective oral and
written communication skill;
§
Strong organization
and time management skills;
§
Work independently as
well as part of a team;
§
Professional approach
with a positive attitude and possess excellent motivational skills.
§
Experience in haul
roads on a large mining operation will be beneficial.
