The Mulungushi International
Conference Centre Ltd is hereby inviting applications from suitably qualified
and experienced Zambians to fill the following position:
ASSISTANT PROCUREMENT OFFICER (1)
Reporting to the Procurement
Officer, the Job holder will among other duties have the following
responsibilities:
§
Assist in ensuring quality
execution of all regular purchasing duties and administrative work.
§
Assist in maintaining complete
updated purchasing records/data and pricing in the system.
§
Assist in preparing reports and
summarizing data including sales report and book value.
§
Assist in scheduling stores
visits to verify inventory levels to prevent inventory gaps and conducting
competitor survey.
§
Assist in the collection of
relevant quotations for purposes of procuring goods and services.
§
Assist in coordinating with
suppliers to ensure on time- delivery of goods and services.
§
Assist in the verification of
supplier documentation.
§
Assist in ensuring that the items
and amounts delivered are correct.
§
Assist in checking purchase
orders for accuracy, completeness and clarity (product information, cost and
delivery dates)
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND
ATTRIBUTES
§
Grade 12 Certificate
§
Diploma in CIPS /Local equivalent
§
Knowledge of procurement
processes, policies and procedures
§
Strong emphasis on accuracy and
detail
§
Ability to handle multiple
projects simultaneously to meet goals and deadlines
§
Proficient in Microsoft Office
programs, such as Excel
§
Good time management and
organizational skills
§
Must be a paid-up member of the
Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply
