Applications are invited from suitably qualified and
experienced person to fill the following position at Lusaka Apex medical
University (LAMU).
A) Assistant Procurement Officer (4 positions)
Major Duties and
Responsibilities
1. Examines quotations received from suppliers assigned by
supervisor to ensure compliance with specifications.
2. Makes arrangement with superior to present the quotations
to the tender committee for selection of a suitable vendor.
3. Raise orders specifying the type and quantity of goods or
services required to be provided and submits it to superior for dispatch to the
vendor concerned.
4. Participates in monitoring the progress and time of the
orders made, regularly to ensure purchases are achieved within the agreed
timeframes.
5. Maintain a record of all the procurement documents e.g.
copies of orders, quotations, tender documents etc.
Essential
Qualifications for the Position:
1. Diploma in CIPS and current member of Zambia Institute of
purchasing and supply and cips
2. Five ‘O’ levels including maths and English
3. Minimum Experience of two (2) years’ work experience
4. Computer literate
