Mission: Early year’s teachers’
work in pre-school and nursery classes with children aged between two and five.
They plan and carry out activities in line with the requirements of LLCC. This
involves developing work schemes and lessons plans to motivate children,
imaginatively using resources to help them learn and in doing this, to provide
children with exceptional child care at an international level for a local affordable
price.
Job Summary: Under immediate
supervision of child care center, early years teachers develop the social and
communication skills of children and provide a safe and secure environment in
which the child can learn. They build and maintain relationships with
parents/guardians to further support children. Record observations and
summarize the children’s achievements. Focus on optimum child development and
preparation for a successful transition to primary school education.
Minimum Requirements:
§
Must be 20 years old and above
§
Must be a Christian with at least
5 years testimony of Christian faith
§
Bachelor’s degree in Early
Childhood Education or Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 15 credits in
Early Childhood Education.
§
At least two years teaching
experience.
§
Ability to relate positively to
young children, parents and staff.
§
Fluent in English, both reading
and writing
§
Demonstrate success in working as
a member of a team.
§
Demonstrate an ability to work
successfully with community-based agencies and building partnerships.
§
Demonstrated supervision skills
§
Must have (or be willing to
obtain) training and experience necessary to develop consistent, stable, and
supportive relationships with very young children.
