In the quest to meet national and global human resource needs in a Responsible, Accountable, Relevant, and Ethical (RARE) way, Mulungushi University has set itself on a firm expansion trajectory. This has resulted into the introduction of the Schools of Science, Engineering and Technology which offers engineering programmes and the Schools of Schools of Social Sciences, Education, and Business Studies.
Lectures are expected to participate in Teaching both (full time and distance Learning) research, consultancy and service to Community.

1.0. SOFTWARE DEVELOPER
Job Purpose: Developing high quality software solutions for the University
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Developing of (web) applications in PHP, Java and other languages
2. Presenting ideas for system improvements
3. Producing detailed specifications and documentation
4. Testing in-house developed and externally provided software
5. Preparing of training manuals for end-users
6. Maintenance and updating of existing systems, (security, new coding, standards, etc)
Requirements
1. Full Grade 12 certificate with 05 credits or better
2. A professional with a Diploma in computer science
3. Professional Certificates in MCSD, CSSLP, Java SE certification
4. Four years’ hands work experience in similar position
