JOB OPPORTUNITIES
The Higher Education Loans and
Scholarships Board (HELSB) was established by the Higher Education Loans and
Scholarships Act No. 31 of 2016 to provide for the granting, administration,
investment, payment and recovery of loans; provide for the administration and
granting of scholarships: facilitate the mobilization of financial resources
for loans and scholarships; and provide for matters connected with or
incidental to the foregoing, In fulfilling its mandate, HELSB wishes to fill
the following positions.
Successful candidates will be
expected to demonstrate high levels of requisite competencies.
Manager – ICT
Job Purpose
To manage the design, development
and maintenance of the Board’s ICT Systems in Order to facilitate data
collection, storage, analysis ane
Knowledge and Skills
Requirements
a) Minimum primary/Secondary
Education:
§
Full Grade 12/Form 5 Certificate
b) Minimum Vocationauprofessional
Qualifications
§
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer
Sciences or its equivalent
c) Minimum Relevant Pre-lob
Experience:
§
6 years work experience with two
years at senior management level
d) Communications Skills:
i) Written skills:
Excellent writing skills as the
job entails preparation of technical reports
ii) Oral skills:
Ability to communicate fluently
in English as the job requires interaction with a diverse clientele.
e) Other Skills/Attributes
Analytical skills, Managerial
skills, Leadership skills, Interpersonal skills. Negotiation skills, Advanced
ICT Skills, Tact and diplomacy, Integrity
