a Transport and Logistics company that provides leading integrated

qualified individual to take up the position of Clearance Manager to be
stationed in Lusaka.

Duties and Responsibilities
§
Manage and Oversee overall
clearance of Imports and Exports for CJ Smart cargo Zambia Limited
§
Formulate Policy areas that
conform to and ensure smooth operations
§
Manage Operations Team, create
work schedules and Key performance Indicators
§
Work with and coordinate with
other departments for smooth operations
§
Coordinate with customs
department and suppliers regarding purchasing and transporting issues
§
Monitoring Freight status and
update to clients and team
§
Plan and arrange delivery
shipment /products as per clients requirements
§
Responsible for control
proceeding both Import-Export Customs Formalities Clearance, Rebate, RIB, etc.
as per requirements
§
Guiding goods through customs
§
Prepare and submit documents,
determining tariffs, and duty payments
§
Tracking Cargo throughout
consignment and reporting to respective managers and clients
Qualifications:
§
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics,
Warehouse Management or related Field
§
5 – 10 years of working
experience in customs, Logistics, background in customs brokering or Customs
Specialist
§
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a
senior logistics role
§
Experience in international
freight forwarding (air, sea and Land import/export).
§
Excellent command in
English and a plethora of Local languages
§
Team work attitude with
leadership capabilities within a global and multi-function environment, with
ability to interface all organizational levels
§
Strong knowledge in customs
tariffs, rules and regulations, and fines
§
Relevant experience in Customs,
Import/Export of materials and goods on regulatory procedures
§
Familiar with all Zambian
Boarders, customs and regulations
§
Strong Command of Microsoft Suit
of Applications, with a priority of Excel, Word and Outlook
