Project Coordinator – Influencing Expert (1), Luapula Programme Unit- MANSA
Position Description
This position will provide leadership in the management and overall delivery of the Strengthening Civil Society to End Child Marriage in Eastern and Southern Africa†Project. Leading the project team in timely delivery of the project; with highest technical quality according to the objectives of the project and to the satisfaction of project stakeholders and donors.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Effectively managing, planning and implementation of the Enhancing the Voices of Civil Society to End Child Marriage in Eastern and Southern Africa Project
- Participating in the project research, assessments or evaluations undertaken and sharing lessons learned and best practices for sharing and scaling up of the project
- Manage project resources efficiently and effectively in accordance with Mansa DWA policies and guideline
- Ensuring project budget and expenditure is tracked and reported.
- Ensuring timely delivery of outputs
- Facilitating strategic linkages and collaborations with other departments inside and outside Mansa DWA, Local Authorities, the young persons and other partners
- Prepare and share quality project reports as per donor requirements and the project monitoring & evaluation plan
- Development of annual and quarterly implementation plans and budgets.
- Lead and manage performance of project staff
Candidates will need to demonstrate possession of:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies or related discipline
- At least 5 years’ experience in project and budget Management
- Protection Projects in Zambia
- Excellent networking and partnership building skills.
- Knowledge of Gender and Child rights will be an added advantage
- Knowledge of development issues, trends, challenges and opportunities and implications to Community Development
