The holder of this position will be required to adhere to
all relevant requirements, police, procedures and legal regulations pertaining
to health, safety environment and quality, and other regulations as required by
the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the
function.
Key Responsibilities
. Co-ordinate and plan future installations as well as
onsite cabling runs and PTP Links
. To Mange performance tuning and capacity planning
activities to enhance the performance of the resources
. Maintaining installation and configuration procedures.
. Contributing to and maintenance and upgrades on network
devices
. Providing 3rd level Support per request from
various constituencies. Investigate and troubleshoot issues.
. Repairing and recovering from hardware or software failures.
. Coordinating and communicate with impacted constituencies
. Provide support for network infrastructure in an on- call
rotation
. Work with multiple teams to identify bottlenecks and other
network configuration issues
. Experience instrumenting and monitoring network devices
along with knowledge of advanced and leading edge networking technologies
. Maintain and organize reporting information and documents
for Management review
. Splicing and troubleshooting of fiber links
. Daily health checks
. Replace failed switches/ AP’s
. Ensure that all network documentation is up to date
. Ensure that all works captured using the ticketing system
. Provide guidance on the ticketing system for junior
members of the team.
. Perform any other duties as and when assigned by the
Supervisor
Qualifications
. Minimum Diploma in information Technology, or equivalent
appropriate experience
. A secondary qualification in Electronics Engineering would
be an advantage
. MSCE/N+/Cisco certification would be an advantage
