that currently operates in the Western, Copperbelt, Muchinga, Lusaka and
Central provinces of the country. The mission of AMZ is to ‘Contribute to the
economic well-being of the poor through effective provision of appropriate
financial services.’
Job
Overview
The
management accountant is a middle management role that will report to the Chief
Financial officer, duties will be as follows:
Responsibilities
§
Preparation
of financial statements
§
Preparation
of management accounts
§
Oversee
the postings in the system
§
Reconciliation
of general ledger accounts
§
Management
of statutory obligations
§
Management
of the Fixed asset register
§
Manage
the purchases and administration unit
§
Provide
information for audits
§
Recommend
ways of cutting costs
§
Making
sure spending is in line with budgets
§
Work
with all departments and the senior management team to make financial decisions
MINIMUM
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
§
Degree
in Economics, ACCA/CIMA/ZiCA finalist
§
Two
years’ work experience in a similar role preferably in a financial institution
§
Proficient
in Microsoft Office and Dashboards
SKILLS
§
Good
inter-personal and communication skills.
§
Analytical,
organizational and leadership skills.
§
Good
report writing and oral presentation skills.
