Lubambe
copper mine is located within the Greater konkola Area of Zambia Copperbelt and
consists of a large – scale mining license covering an area of approximately
240 square kilometers. The mine is a modern, world class facility with fully
mechanized underground operations.
Lubambe
copper mine is owned by EMR Capital of Australia (80%) and ZCCM – Investments
Holdings (20%).
The mine currently in a ramp up stage and will ultimately produce 45,000 tonnes
of contained copper and will employ approximately 1,500 people. The plant
infrastructure consist of a concentrator plant, a laboratory and underground
infrastructure, the concentrator incorporates crushing, milling, floatation and
filtration. The design capacity is 2.5 MTPA of ore at an average mill grade of
2.3% copper, yielding 45,000 tonnes of contained copper in concentrate to be
sold to smelters in Zambia.

and motivated persons to fill the following vacancies:
SENIOR SECTIONAL SURVEYOR-1 Position
Key area
of Responsibility/Accountability
. Serve
as a liaison between survey Department and the various operational Clients
. Ensure
the organizations of events, tasks and activities and negotiating with the team
in order to ensure that work is done effectively
. The
role shall be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of works produced by team
members. This includes checking surveys produced on a daily basis
. To be responsible
for those processes required to track, review, and orchestrate the progress and
performance of all ongoing survey tasks
. To be
responsible for the service and calibration schedule for capitalized equipment
and ensure that all survey instruments are calibrated
. To be
responsible for the supervision of all tasks executed by the sectional
surveyors, junior Surveyors, survey Technicians and Draughtsman
. Diploma
or Bachelor’s Degree in Geomatics
. Conversant
with microstation or similar CAD Package
. Valid Driver’s
Licence (Added advantage)
. At
least 5 years of underground mining survey environment
. 3 years’
experience in a supervisory position
. Member
of EIZ and ERB is a must
Competences
. The
candidate must be able to work independently
. Must
have a good command of English
. Must be
able to work under pressure
