The
Zambia Compulsory Standards Agency (ZCSA) is a body corporate created by the
Compulsory Standards Act No. 3 of 2017 whose mandate is to inter alia
administer, maintain and ensure compliance with compulsory standards.
The
Zambia Compulsory Standards Agency wishes to invite suitably qualified and
experienced staff to fill the vacant positions of Snr. ICT Officer and
Assistant Inspector.
SENIOR
ICT – OFFICER (HQ) x1 (RE-ADVERTISED)
KEY
RESPONSIBILITIES
§
Supervises
and undertakes effectively, the alignment of systems and hardware
specifications in order to ensure conformity to the ICT policy.
§
Supervises
and undertakes effectively, the installation and maintenance of applications
and hardware in order to facilitate provision of ICT services.
§
Supervises
and undertakes effectively, cyber security of the ICT infrastructure in order
to prevent intrusion and theft of data.
§
Supervises
and undertakes, effectively capacity building of end-users on various software
applications in order to enhance the use of ICTs of the Agency;
§
Supervises
and undertakes effectively, setting and maintaining an Offsite Backup system in
order to ensure Agency’s continuity.
§
Supervises
and undertakes effectively, the maintenance of website infrastructure in order
to ensure accessibility of information.
§
Supervises
and undertakes effectively, internet connectivity in order to enhance efficient
operations
§
Supervises
and undertakes timely, development of work plans and implementation of the
Annual Performance Appraisal System (APAS) in order to monitor, evaluate and
enhance performance.
§
Supervises
effectively, human, financial and other resources , in order to facilitate
achievement of objectives
QUALIFICATIONS,
EXPERIENCE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
§
Full
Grade 12 School Certificate
§
Bachelor’s
Degree in Computer Science or its equivalent
§
5
years work experience of which 2 years should be at supervisory level
§
Able
to write technical reports
§
Analytical
skills
§
Interpersonal
skills
§
Integrity
§
Tact
and Diplomacy
§
Must
be of sober character
§
Possession
of a drivers’ License of not less than 2years.
