Mopani Copper Mine Plc, a joint venture company comprising
major shareholders Glencore International AG, first Quantum Minerals Ltd and
Zccm Investment Holdings, Owns operations in Mufulira and Nkana on the
Copperbelt in Zambia. The Company’s success has been as a result of its focused

The Company seeks the services of the following to be based
in Mfulira
1. SECTIONAL SURVEYOR- HOLE SURVEY AND VIOD SCANNING X1
2. SECTIONAL SURVEYOR- STOPING X1
Reporting to the senior sectional, the successful candidates
will be responsible for scanning stope out voids to determine stopped blast quality.
Duties will, among others, include
. Pick up and scan mined out ore drives for stope design
. Setting out painting of designed fans for long hole
drilling
. Carry out regular hole surveys for monitoring long hole drilling
quality and stope blast monitoring to determine dilution and over/ under break
. Quantify stope extraction volumes for monthly stope
reconciliation reporting
. Quantify the long hole drilled meters and preparation of a
monthly report for payment purposes
. Updating of the plans, Vertical Long Profiles (VLPs) and
Cross Sections for legal Compliance
. Enforce statutory Mining Regulations and rules in order to
provide a safe working environment
To be considered for this position, one should meet the
following minimum requirements
. Grade 12 School Certificate with passes in English and
Mathematics
. Diploma in Surveying or equivalent
. Minimum 2 years’ work experience, preferably in Survey stopping
operations
. Knowledge of Surpac and AutoCAD software
. Experience in working with Void Scan and Hole Survey
Equipment will be an added advantage
. Good oral and written communication skills
. Computer literate

the ability to work with own initiative, paying particular attention to Company
